Effective 20 June 2001, the automated
query system at GenConnect and sponsored by Rootsweb has changed. All the
query boards have been combined into a single board, which can be accessed
by link above.The change is
that the GenConnect boards and Ancestry's Family.com boards have been
combined into a single system. Some folks are concerned that they don't wish
to post queries that are housed at a commercial site. While Ancestry.com has
assured all users that info posted there is and will always remain free,
there still may be people who want an alternative system.
Therefore, I have decided to make an alternative
available to those folks who wish to use it. Using a program called Query
Express, which is supported by the USGenWeb, you can post queries that will
remain on the local Dauphin County system.
