In the of God, Amen I Frederick Dentler in Middle Paxton Township, Dauphin County and State of Pennsylvania, Yeoman . . . sound mind, memory and understanding . . . but considering the uncertainty of the . . . my last will and testament in manner and form . . . Principally and first of all I commend my immortal soul into the hands of God who gave . . .and my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named. And as to such Worldly Estate . . . pleased God to bless me in this life I give and dispose of the same in the following manner to wit, First I give and Devise unto by Elder Son Solomon fifty pounds of good and Lawful money of the state aforesaid.

Item I give and devise unto my Eldest Daughter Christiana Fifty pounds.

Item I give and Devise unto each of my other Children, to wit Mary, Sarah, John and Ann fifty pounds in like manner to be paid as follows, that is I give and declare it as my Last will, that my two Sons Solomon and John shall keep my Real Estate for which they shall pay Three hundred pounds in the following manner viz. The first year after my death my son Solomon shall keep to himself Twenty pound out of the price of the land which shall be accounted to him as part of my Legacy. The second year my two Sons shall pay unto my Daughter Christiana twenty pounds and in like manner they shall pay unto each of my Children according to their Seniority or age, the Sum of Twenty pounds until such times as they have Accord each one forty pounds they shall then pay unto each one as before the yearly Sum of Ten pounds in full of fifty pounds before mentioned which I leave unto each and every of them, the payment to be in the order before mentioned. Beginning at the Oldest and so on by the Yearly Payments aforesaid until the Youngest. And that my said Sons Solomon and John maybe the better enabled to pay said Legalees, give and devise them as my Last Will and Testament that my son Solomon shall have the . . . wifes of the Plantation to be divided equally by a line to begin __ Perches from the lower corner on the Banks of the River and to run back from the river through said places so as to divide it Equally between them. And further, I give and devise in as my Last Will and Testament that my dear and --- beloved Wife Christiana shall at my death if it so be that she outlives me Receive out of my Personal estate One Cow, two Sheep and Bed and Bedding, with some few Articles of Kitchen furniture wherewith she may be Enabled to keep for . . . if there be not Sufficient of my Personal Estate to pay to my Wife the above articles they shall then each of the Heirs Contribute equally in order to procure them . And Likewise shall have the privilege of Living on said place during her life And shall receive yearly for her Maintenance ten Bushels of good wheat and three of corn, One hundred weight of good meal and Sufficient Quantity of Hay to keep her Cow and two Sheep to be paid Yearly and every Year equally by each of the Heirs. And further, my two sons shall Exclusive of the others cut and deliver a Sufficient Quantity of Fire Wood for her and take to the Mill and bring home all her Grain. And each of the Heirs shall pay her the Yearly sum of Ten shillings and in fault of Payment it shall be dedicated out of their part of the Estate.

And Lastly I Nominate Constitute and Approve my said Son Solomon and my Worthy friend James Wilson of Middle Paxton Aforesaid to be the Executors of this my will hereby revoking all other Wills, Legacies I bequeath by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to be my last will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal the 10th day of February in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Ninety six(?) (1796).
